Romagna Sangiovese Superiore D.O.C.

Over 85% of Sangiovese grapes grown in cordon with spur pruning vineyards planted in 2009 and 2011. About 15% of Longanesi grapes grown in cordon with spur pruning vineyards planted in 2009. By hand harvest into 25 and 30 Kg crates.

De-stemming and crushing. Addition of selected yeasts and temperature-controlled fermentation for about 10 days. Drawing off at the end of fermentation and soft crushing of the grape marc that is kept separate. About 75% of the mass is matured in steel vats and the remaining 25% in French oak tonneaux.

Ageing period in vats barrels: 8 months

Ageing in the bottle before the release on the market: 3 months

Its organoleptical characteristics are those of a genuine Sangiovese Superiore.
Prominent tannins reflect the young age of the wine making it long-lived.
Mineral notes and suitable acidity. Certainly deemed to be increasingly appreciated as it will evolve in future years.
Alcohol content: 14%

Ideal with red meat and roasts. Try it with T-bone and other charcoal-grilled meat.
