Production year 2017:
Obtained from our medium texture soil with sandstone inclusions, this wine is the result of a limited number of plants whose structure and characteristics allow optimum overripening of the selected bunches. Ripening is shortly completed into 2 and 5 Kg crates protected from rain.
De-stemming without crushing. Soft pressing with a yield that does not exceed 55%. Cold static treatment for 24 hours followed by racking off. Addition of selected yeasts and fermentation for about 30 days without temperature control in new French oak tonneaux. A first racking off is performed at the end of fermentation and a second one after two months.
Ageing period in wood barrels: 8 months
Its organoleptical characteristics are those of a “round” Albana. Sweetness is combined and supported by the residual acidity of Albana that makes this wine nicely sweet, but not cloying. The wine features the same mineral notes of our Albana Secca resulting from the type of soil. Great length on the palate where distinctive ripe fruit hints stand out.
Alcohol content: 13%
Ideal with sweets, biscuits and desserts. Try it with blue cheese such as gorgonzola.
Enjoy it with a nice book and classical music!
